WHAT IS SULASTIC RUBBER SPRINGS?

Sulastic is a suspension system designed to improve a vehicle's ride quality and handling, particularly in pick-up trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. The key component of the Sulastic suspension system is the Sulastic shackle, which replaces the traditional leaf spring shackle found in many suspension systems.

The primary purpose of the Sulastic suspension system is to reduce the transmission of road vibrations and shocks to the vehicle chassis and cabin. This helps provide occupants with a smoother and more comfortable ride and reduces wear and tear on the vehicle’s components.

The Sulastic shackle typically consists of a central pivot point with elastomeric elements on either side. These elastomeric elements act as shock absorbers and allow for a certain degree of movement and flexibility in the suspension system, improving the vehicle's ability to absorb road imperfections and providing a more controlled and comfortable ride.

Sulastic suspensions are often used in pick-up, heavy-duty trucks, RVs, and other commercial vehicles where ride comfort is important. They help reduce driver fatigue and improve overall vehicle stability.

FEATURES & BENEFITS:

  • Reduce Vibration and Shocks 60-80%
  • Improve Stability 20-30%
  • Reduce Braking Distance 10-20%
  • Stops the Bed Bouncing
  • Reduce the impact harshness over potholes & broken pavement
  • The joints at the concrete roads produce picky noise, this noise is gone when you install the sulastic.
  • Smooth out the ride by just replacing the OEM shackles.
  • Load and towing Capacity Not Affected
  • Improves Handling and Control of the Vehicle
  • Quality ride improvement in rainy, cold & hot weather
  • Requires no maintenance.
  • Set includes 2 sulastic shackles per axle.

When you have a commercial vehicle we recommend using the sulastic shackle SAJ-03B since this suspension is adjustable Up to 10,000 pounds, so when you add a box or a flatbed to your Cab Chassis, and all the equipment you will be carrying everything the time according to the work you need (power generators, compressors, welding machines, cranes, etc.). Then it is time to calibrate the sulastic so that it begins to work from this load range to the designed load capacity of the vehicle. (Cab-chassis are normally used unloaded, semi-loaded or totally loaded).

We do not recommend the SA model since this model is precalibrated to the curb weight of the vehicle. By adding more machinery and structure, the SA suspension will be around all of its capacity, you will not feel a change between an OEM shackle and the sulastic shackle. Because they are not designed for work all the time totally loaded.

With the SAJ-03B model, being 3 times larger, it controls the weight without problem and the difference in handling is notable. This suspension SAJ-03B helps stabilize the load, cushioning any road, whether dirt, stone, asphalt, or concrete. The duration of this product is the same as that of the vehicle. If you drive in mountains or on roads that do not have concrete or asphalt, you will have control of the vehicle, the springs will stop breaking on the road and your shock absorbers will last longer, gasoline consumption will decrease because you will have better traction road, braking distance decreases, and sulastic isolates up to 80% of the road impact to the chassis. (What you get as extra benefits are less loss of product for sale, measuring equipment in good condition, the chassis no longer breaks behind the cabin, better driver driving, and passengers with less fatigue).

How many are installed already in the market SAJ-03B?

More than two thousand are on the roads. Our customers use our product to transport and sell milk, bread, cakes, poultry embryos, beer, seeds, furniture, copper saws, gas, engines, transmissions, cranes, machinery, lathe parts, building materials, transportation of personnel to factories, etc. The benefits they found were fewer broken products, less maintenance on body parts, fewer broken springs, more time in their units working, and less time in the shops for maintenance.

How to calibrate the sulastic?

When installed the suspension is calibrated to this weight, the suspension comes with a red hub(picture D), when it falls off when using the tall nut to calibrate, you have calibrated the sulastic shackle to the desired job, after this you no longer need to redo it calibrate. You can see more information when you click on the SAJ-03B installation guide
